Sarah Hirsi is a fourth-year journalism student with a minor in sociology. She is passionate about writing stories that highlight justice, human rights, and climate change, while also finding joy in covering fun, quirky topics. Sarah began her journalism career with The Leveller and is excited to continue using her storytelling skills to inspire change and make a positive impact in the world.

The Leveller is a publication covering news, current events, and culture at Carleton University, the University of Ottawa, the Ottawa/Gatineau region and, to a lesser extent, the wider world. It is intended to provide readers with a lively portrait of their campus and community and of the events that give it meaning. It is also intended to be a forum for provocative editorializing and lively debate on issues of concern to post-secondary students, staff, and faculty as well as Ottawa residents.
