What a month, hey?

Child Care Workers Unite!

Industrial Workers of the World and Bernadette Workers Union win key victories in their ongoing union campaign

After months of organizing and taking collective actions against their employer, workers at the Garderie Bernadette Child Care Centre won labour union certification as the Bernadette Workers Union in December 2021. The union’s struggle to improve their working conditions has also led to the recent replacement of the centre’s Board of Directors, who previously refused to recognize or negotiate with the union.
